Hi,

Just a word: there is a community build based on Google Chrome code called
Chromium.

TBH, it's getting difficulty to stick to purely community-driven software.
Many OSSs has some kind of commercial backbones. Of course Debian is an
exception. ;-)

Perhaps Midori or Epiphany will be candidates.
