The pocketbook (I own one) runs a lot of Free software, including the
linux kernel, loads of Free fonts, the GNU C library, and other stuff
that I'd have to grab the book for. Handles most formats out of the
box. Works nicely with Calibre. PDF support on mine is a bit flaky
though. Mostly due to it struggling with A4 pages on a ebook sized
screen.
