My main problem with Crouton is the nested x-server ... rules out
acceleration, current ubuntu-desktop, and (most importantly for me) makes
projected presentations practically impossible (without handcrafted X
modelines).
Also the switch back and forth between ChromeOS and Crouton fails more than
50% of the time on my Samsung chromebook.
If not for those issues, I'd probably be OK with Crouton for my personal
use ... I like the ChromeOS for doing google-related stuff (mostly Gmail).
But for most non-techies the CLI-based method of booting Crouton would be
another 'issue'.
