I have just installed OpenLinux 2.4 edesktop on my PC. I have a cable modem
connected to my machine for internet access. When I first run the Linux OS,
everthying works. I can get out on the Internet ok. But after a couple of
times out on the net....I start recieving these messages and my Internet
conncetion no longer works.

Error message:
                 YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: DOMAINNOTBOUND
                 YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: DOMAINNOTBOUND
                 YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: DOMAINNOTBOUND

I am using netscape as a browser and during the installation of LINUX, I was
asked to set up my ethernet card either Dynamically or statically. I chose
Static and put in the correct IP address and gateway and DNS search order.
(I have checked this info several times). I also named my domain a fictious
name. The default is noname.nodomain.nowhere.com. I changed this to
racerx.lives.com because I assumed it doesn't matter anyway as I using the
@home's DNS servers.

The funny thing is...I can reinstall the entire Linux OS and it will work
again for a while then this will happen again.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or ideas? I am a newbie when it comes to Linux
but I am a IT director and have many years experience in the Windows world.
I am trying to make the jump to Linux as I think it is a fantasic OS! I
don't even know the commands to get around in Linux so the very basic of
help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
RacerX
