I've been getting more adventurous at playing around and I've seem to have
broken my system... bugger!

The system as a whole works but I can't do 'make menuconfig' to rebuild a
kernel (the normal kernel or the linux-vr which is the one used for the
outputs below).

When I do 'make menuconfig' I get the following:
 <<bugger>>
After the error flashes by I do get a 'menuconfig' screen which is
navigable, but missing a large number of items.

Taking the hint I've removed all occurrences of ncurses and curses, and
reinstalled ncurses. It still won't work.
Just to check if I've missed a curses lib somewhere I did 'find / -name
'*curses*'':
 <<bugger2>>
Anyone got any other suggestions?

There seems to be a problem with the lxdialog companion utility which =
is=0A=
built prior to running Menuconfig. Usually this is an indicator that =
you=0A=
have upgraded/downgraded your ncurses libraries and did not remove the =
=0A=
old ncurses header file(s) in /usr/include or /usr/include/ncurses.=0A=
=0A=
It is VERY important that you have only one set of ncurses header =

and that those files are properly version matched to the ncurses =

=0A=
You may also need to rebuild lxdialog. This can be done by moving =
to=0A=
the /usr/src/linux/scripts/lxdialog directory and issuing the =0A=

the maintainer <mec@shout.net> or post a message to=0A=
