Gentoo ( wasRe: [Wylug-help] SuSE 8.1)

Hi

I've just tried to boot Gentoo and I got: kernel panic: attempt to kill
init.

I've had this and a number of similar messages with some of the other
distro's I've tried.

I was going to try reducing my memory to 512MB, but I only have tow slots
and the memory has to be used in pairs. :-(

Any suggestions?
