Hi wylug,

I installed RedHat after my guest pc wouldn't boot with winxp pro, just kept
rebooting over n over.
I thought this was due to a virus, or because it was a copy of winxp
pro.because i tried to connect them up together. But didn't realise I had to
have an antivirus on the guest as well as the Host, is this correct or a
load of rubbish. Anyway I tried to reload my winxp pro but it wouldn't load
afer the "copying files to hard drive" So I formatted the drive and loaded
RedHat
I have my Host pc which has winxp pro, connected to the net with NTL
broadband, and my guest pc which has RedHat 9.
My questions are:

1, Would it be a better option to have my RedHat box as the Host, because of
viruses and been more stable.
2,I have a cross-over cat5 cable linking them up, via my adapter cards is
this the correct cable.
3,Is this something someone so new to linux can achieve, I've had a go but
was unable to connect them up.

I hope this makes sense to you, I have bought a book on ReHat by Chris Negus
but it is a steep learning curve so I thought I'd give your site a look see
for advice as well.
God this has worn me out, hope to hear from you soon.
Thanx
Chris
