[Wylug-help] Nforce2 board with BAD clock drift

Hi all,
We have a Nforce2/Athlon motherboard here running Debian which is
gaining time at an alarming rate, ~20 sec per hour. Kernel 2.4.22.

Unfortunately this is more than ntp can cope with. :-(

It looks like the PC's TOY clock is OK, it it the kernel clock which is
drifting.

I've looked everywhere I can think of but can't find a cause, anyone got
any suggestions?

PS Machine is in use, so drastic measures may no be possible.
