Did you ever get an answer?
 
I'm also searching for some 2.5mm phono male connectors with 4 contacts.
 
the female (plug) is available from several places it seems but the male part is a real challenge.
 
The only place I've seen so far is connect-tech-products.com for the male part.
 
Do you have any others manufacturers?
 
the female connector I'm looking at Technik Industrial  an asian company. their part number for the 2.5mm SMD connector is TG2684
