Hi,

I gave it a go with the latest version of 7.0 and getting the same
problem unfortunatley. I will drop down to previous sub 6.9 version
this evening and see if makes any difference and let you know how it goes.

The monitor is a TFT connected via a KVM switch to vga output. I have
tried plugging it directly into the machine to see if it might be the
problem but no I have also tried it with my spare CRT and I get the same
problem on that too unfortunatley.

So the state of it atm is I have the machine with no OS on it at all now
going for a full clean install with just suse 10.0 on it (if it will go
on) as Kubuntu flatley resuses. I am resorting to using a new drive as
well just to make sure I'm on a level playing field.

Thanks for the help so far
Wayne
