[WYLUG-help] Server distro - which one?

/etc/fstab is showing only proc, /dev/hdb1 (/), /dev/hdb5
(swap), /dev/hdd (cdrom) and /dev/fd0. That looks to me as though only
the slave (see below) is showing in fstab?

The 40Gb is the master and the 80Gb the slave on IDE0. All the jumpers,
cables etc have been double-treble checked and are correct.

When I can find out which one is actually loaded with Sarge and
Apache/MySQL/PHP - hopefully the original install set it up for NFS and
so forth - I'd like to clear the other one off and start using it from
scratch as an "extension" of the (as yet partially) configured server.

/proc/partitions (using vi) shows as an empty file, trying to use it as
a command returns /proc/partitions: Permission denied.

lspci -vv shows various controllers but nothing I could recognise as
useful.

The dmesg output has lines relating to both hdds but I could not fully
decypher them. There are too many to copy type. How do I pipe the output
to a file I can save/copy/scp/edit for relevant lines to post here? I'm
assuming I'll be able to use something like scp once it's saved.

Many thanks for the contributions to date.

Mike
