[Wylug-help] Laptop wireless link proglem

I have an IBM Thinkpad A22m with a Linksys WPC 54G version 5 wireless card.

 

However I try I just cannot get the link to talk to my Netgear DG834G
version 2 router.

 

>From searching the internet it seems that this wireless card is not
suitable. I am willing to buy another one but I don't know which one will
work (if any).

 

I have tried Fedora and am now using SUSE 10.2.

 

Can anyone advise?
