It may be worth setting CUPS to use lpd on the edimax server. LPD's the 
oldest one of the network printing protocols so most network print servers 
(and printers with network ports) offer it.

Cups setup should be as simple as: Administration -> Printers -> Add Printer &
follow the prompts.
