It does have firewire.  My hazy memory caused me to forget that ilink and 
firewire were the same beast, and I didn't recognise the connector, having 
only ever seen the standard sized firewire connectors before.  I thought it 
was some proprietary interface - though I should have realised that if it was 
they would have had to provide the cable for it.
