install console-tools

then google something like

      change vt fonts using console-tools linux

or similar.

alternatively, ssh into the server from your desktop and resize your xterm
or similar to whatever size you want :-) You also gain a better scrollback
function for checking back thru' stuff or use script to keep a log of
your session for future reference, and while we're at it check out screen
for having a persistent session you can check in and out of at will,
and... but I digress :-)
