[Wylug-help] USB Memory Stick Mounts Read Only

HI All.
I have a USB memory stick.  I stick it in the USB socket, The KDE "Mounted 
Removabe Media" window pops up, and I can read it.
Until recently I could also write to it but now it only mounts "read only". I 
can write to an MP3 player but not the memory stick.
Can anyone explin what is happening or where to look to find out?
