[YLUG] Free Software for designing a poster, need suggestions

Hi,

I need to create an A0 poster about my final-year uni project, but I'm
not sure what software to use, as I've never done this sort of thing
before. There are a number of people on this list who have most likely
done this before, and I was wondering if you could recommend anything.

The content consists largely of a couple of gnuplot graphs, maybe a
formula or two, and some text.

What I've come up with so far:

- OpenOffice.org Draw (or Impress?)
- LaTeX (how?)
