[YLUG] screen brightness

Hi

My laptop screen has gone dim. Not very dim, but too dim for comfortable
viewing.

I have Dell Inspiron 6400. ATI Mobility Radeon X1300.

I looked in the forums and did -

sudo gconf-editor
apps -> gnome-power-manager -> blacklight -> disable

I also looked in the forums and did -

apt-get install xbacklight
xbacklight -set 100

>From the latter I got "No outputs have backlight property"

Now I'm completely stuck.

Do you have any suggestions?
