Hi,
As I recall the best tool for installing software was "yum". Try
http://www.fedorafaq.org/ this seems to contain tips for getting up and
running. Have a look at the section starting:
Using the GUI to Install/Update Software
Your lubuntu install:
most issues caused during a bad upgrade can usually be fixed with:
apt-get -f install
This forces an install of the outstanding packages typically it's smart
enough to fix any issues.
As for your graphics card have a look at
http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html I`m guessing a older card might not
work with latest drivers.
I use Ubuntu personally so I'm not sure how Fedora handles drivers like
Nvidia, you may have to download and compile from source.
