Don't confuse QBasic with Quick Basic!. The former is a BASIC  
interpreter and the latter a (sort of) compiler with far greater 
capablilities. I still have and use Quick Basic v4.5 (DOS software 
development for others).  It does have quirks, but is nevertherless good 
for DOS apps.
