But you're hardly an 'average' user, are you? Unfortunately, yours is 
type of usage they are trying to stop. It sucks for you, but look at it 
this way, what would you do if someone was using your bandwidth or 
servers (your 'service') without paying you. How long could you keep going?

This has been argued to death all over the 'net, and it appears the Red 
Hat themselves don't know how this will be implemented...

Now that would be interesting... How much would people be willing to pay 
for a single subscription that allows them to distribute the patches 
through they're own mini-RHN? RH could get round competing against 
themselves by limiting these mini-RHN servers to one subnet or # of 
hosts etc... Take's the strain of their servers, but allows people to 
keep using the 'free' products on their own networks...

I think RH are trying to the right thing, but going the wrong way about 
it. They're making announcements about EOL'ing and 'limiting' (fairly, 
IMO) RHN without offering any alternatives... They are still a long way 
off becoming 'another MS' though...
