Hiya Tom
SuSE have a slightly odd distribution policy that they blame on the
fact that the distro contains certain applications that can't be
included in a ISO release. Having said that, the DVD edition of this
month's PC Plus has the 3 CD ISO version of SuSE 8.1.
RedHat 9.0 is available in ISO format at a number of FTP sites - I
grabbed my copy from:
ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/
i386/
...you only need the "shrike-i386-disc1.iso", "shrike-i386-disc2.iso"
and "shrike-i386-disc3.iso" images.
Hudlug might not have a retailing service, but I believe there's been
talk in the past that several of us are happy to download and/or
write images to CD for other Hudluggers. I'm happy to burn SuSE 8.1
or RedHat 9.0 for you and post them (if you'll cover the CD and
postal costs).
>From what I gather, RedHat is becoming more of a desktop distro...
having said that, I'm using it for a server at home!
