What I would enjoy is for one (or two) member(s) to talk and demonstrate
for, say 30-45 minutes, about an application that he/she particularly
likes using. Follow that with social, help-each-other-chat or
whatever :-)
The venue is important, too. It needs to be somewhere with wifi, but
also somewhere not too noisy (so that you can hear what's being said).
I didn't like the compartmental setup in the last venue, as it made
it too difficult to chat with people.
I totally agree about not wasting time on negatives, but I'd suggest
that we widen our outlook slightly. I have in mind the fact that many
people need to react with Windows users, and cross-platform working
could be usefully explored too.
