Hi Chris

Couldn't find it initially so just for the hell of it I logged into the
latest kernal version and lo and behold there it was. Is this typical
behaviour when you do a kernal upgrade? ie if you don't log into the most
up to date version you have restricted privilages?

Anyhow, now that I have found it how does VI or NANO (I think it's called)
work?

Ian

Try

  find / -name menu.lst -print

and let us know what comes back. Doesn't matter what directory you run it
from but probably best to do it as root.
