[sclug] Kismet on Ubuntu

I've recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop, wanted to see what the
desktop linux offerings were like at the moment. Very impressed with it
so far, since when has anything OpenSource been able to talk to
Exchange, i've been out of the loop far too long!

Trying to get my head around aptitude and the package way of doing
things. Ive only ever really used linux in the server environment, and
then i've downloaded the source and worked my way though the INSTALL
file :) I guess thats what happens when your first
webserver/test-server is running slack 7.summing.

Can anyone give me some newbish advise on how I fix this "problem";

root at carbon:/home/hamlesh # aptitude install kismet
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading extended state information
Initializing package states... Done

Some packages had unmet dependencies. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kismet: Depends: libgmp3 which is a virtual package.
Depends: ethereal-common but it is not installable
root at carbon:/home/hamlesh #

How do I over come this? Sorry for asking n00bish stuff.

Thanks,

Hamlesh Motah
