I have been dabbling with Linux for about 3 years now and recently took
the plunge and no longer run any MS platforms at home

Not having been in a LUG before I'm not really sure, I would like to
make some career contacts as well as meet some new people. I also like
the idea of a community that I can involve myself in to both share and
develop my Linux knowledge.
