[Blackpool] Mint update problems

Hi Liz

I've done a bit more research on this an it is a known issue for some 
reason some installs of Mint 14 lose the link to the update repository 
see attached Ubuntu forum fix linking back to the Ubuntu update repos 
link below for copy and paste of of the command needed.
