[Chester LUG] SEV 1 priority action message ;)

I thought I would share this with you guys. I can't cut and paste but I can
relay the details and keep the offending parties anonymous (no, it wasn't
me)

We all know about Sev 1 priority action messages for when the poo really
hits the fan, ie multi million pound system down.

This morning in the global work queue we got a sev 1 alert message.
"Toaster has caught fire, extinguished. Please replace."

I think someone hit the wrong button. However, you can imagine the log
comments:-

"This is a production toaster. Toast making facilities impacted"

"Work around identified - Argos @ £9.99"

"Toaster dependent items impacted"

As it was marked Sev 1 there was major incident management team braced for
action, for a duff toaster. I don't think HP do toasters.

Oh how we laughed this morning.
