[Deaf-lug] Web Cam on Ubuntu 8.10

Just wondering...do you have Skype? IF so, does it work in there?

In EKiga - go to settings and in video devices, change the video plugin to
V4L from V4L2. It should then work. If it does - let us know. V4L is a bit
old and outdated, they're making use of V4L2 these days (Flash moved to
V4L2, Skype I think use V4L2 only etc)

Your camera's quite outdated and I think they're moving onto V4L2 and I'm
not certain if there is a driver available that make use of V4L2. I've got a
Quickcam Pro 4000 around somewhere so if I find it I'll test but in my
office in Croydon, I've got an even older and crappier Logitech webcam which
I can test too.
