Yes, I think we should have this discussion, but I won't be able to
attend the next meeting.  I guess it would be good to invite Clive
along, but flushing things out a little on the mailing list seems like
a no-brainer to me.

Whilst nothing can replace face-to-face meetings such as what you
suggest, having a discussion in an open (and archived) forum creates
referenceable knowledge for others.
