Here are some photos of Linus Torvalds shaving off Bdale Garbees's
beard in raising money for the endangered Tasmanian Devil :

Linus also gave an interview about open source identity. In the
interview he said that he switched to Gnome because off his disgust of
KDE 4. I had this same disgust, as I had reported in one of my
articles that KDE 4 was not ready, that is why I did not upgrade to
Fedora 9. Now that I am on Fedora 10 (Cambridge) with KDE 4.1.3 it is
totally different as the development tools have been fully ported and
functionality like as in KDE 3.5 has been restored. There a couple of
bugs but at least I am happy. Don't get me wrong I have nothing
against the Gnome desktop, it is that KDE is my preference. For Ubuntu
users, Fedora has a switch desktop utility that can switch between KDE
,Gnome, XFCE etc so that you only need one distro with many types of
windows managers.
