[Nelug] Ubuntu upgrade?

Hi guys. I haven't the time and possibly not the good maners, to reply to 
eveyone who took the time to respond, so thanks all.
My syntax is obviously not so good so I will try again:
Ubuntu looks like it may be good.
I have MDK10.1 CE running but with printer issues, (why cannot HP come up 
with driver rpms?).
I guess from your replies that upgrading from MDK to UBUNTU is not feasible.
Sad but I just may try it.
