Hi Alan,

Did you put any symbols in the password? Maybe your keymap was not set when
you set the password so some characters may be the wrong way around. E.g. "
swapped with @.

Also try each time using the username box temporarily to make sure the
right keys are coming up.

In the username make sure you're using the username you set, rather than
the full name e.g. alan rather than Alan Pearson or something.

Bear in mind in some configs no stars or anything come up in the password
box. Try not to use backspaces either as (some terminals) misinterpret it.

Personally only ever had this problem upon spelling incorrectly.
