Well, the better news is that the new version of phpwiki is now up and
running again at:

     http://startext.demon.co.uk/phpwiki

complete with calendar plugin to enable you to play at editing a
calendar of events online.

The MediaWiki software (works a dream on the laptop) is still giving
this server severe bellyache, though.  Shouldn't be a problem on the
user group website, however.
