Being a 'live' Knoppix based CD it doesn't cover all bases. It does boot on an 
awful lot of i486+ systems and therefore can be a great diagnostic tool.
Trust it to balk at /your/ soundcard :-)

Dunno about hardware, they're both using planetCCRMA too AFAIK.
