Well, I feel sad and rather bored by all this, so I shall probably unsubscribe 
from this list when I can be bothered.

Fortunately Linux is highly configurable, so unsubscribing isn't the only 
option. Kmail has a very powerful mail filter, which can easily to set to 
something like: Match all where 'From' contains 'mwheeler at startext.co.uk' - 
File into folder 'trash' and automatically apply that to all incoming 
messages. Name it something useful and descriptive like 'Plonker' and you're 
done!
