I have just downloaded Star Office 5.2 to try out.
It installed OK, but informed me that it has installed an icon into the KDE
desktop.
However, my system only has Gnome on it, so no icon appears to have been
installed anywhere.
I am currently kicking it off by typing /star/soffice from the command-line,
which works but is not the greatest way of doing it !
Any suggestions as to how I can install an icon or similar into Gnome ??
