Assuming you're talking about a 'first generation' Bubble Bobble for the PC,
and not a more recent 're-release', I'd be pretty suprised if you couldn't
find it on an abandonware site somewhere, and run it under DOSemu.

Probably more work than it's worth, though :-)

I think I'm now allowed to say that you wasted your money :-)

I wanted to play MAME one lunchtime back when I worked at SCO, so I ported
it (didn't take much work - particularly since i didn't port the sound
support) and sent back the changes to the main maintainer.  He asked me if I
was willing to maintain it for UnixWare, and I said yes, although I didn't
do a very good job - I never updated my port :-(
