Not quite. I was actually trying to argue against Jon's statement of
'excuse me while I laugh about Windows programs being easier to install'.

True. But most Windows programs that depend on certain DLLs include them
with the program, so there's rarely dependencies to satisfy. Doesn't apt
automatically download any packages that a program depends on anyway?

By all means :-) I haven't used Debian much, so I'm no expert on what apt
does or doesn't do. I remember that when I have used it, it was really
quite nice.
