Hi,
They are for ADSL USB modems (provided as part of the consumer/cheap
xDSL services). I would imagine your experience has been with the
business products involving a seperate ADSL router which does all the
"dialling" and connection handling itself.
It's in this USB area in particular that a certain not-so-smooth product
should be very helpful were it not for the "issues" that surround it.
Of course, there's nothing (possibly small print somewhere, although
I've not seen it) stopping anyone buying an ADSL router and using it
with the USB/cheap ADSL service, thereby getting rid of all the USB
issues entirely.
