Using the stock RH 2.4.9-13 kernel the following commands work for me. RH 
kernels prior to this didn't seem to support pppoA very well. If you're 
compiling a kernel from source use Alan Cox's patches as they don't need the 
pppoA patches, which I found to be problematic.

/*path*/modem_run -f /*path*/mgmt.o -m
pppd call adsl
