Actually, low-end computers (and low-end network cards) aren't really that
useful for Beowolf Clusters in my experience (except maybe for proof of
concept, as pointed out to me after the installfest).

What they are good for, though, is routers, gateways and firewalls.
Especially for home use, because they will often not have a cpu fan so are a
little quieter.
