[Gllug] setting ifconfig media type on bootup

I can't figure out how to set the media type "10base2" from bootup
on Redhat 7.1.

Without going into detail because it hurts this fixes a problem
with network connectivity on a Xircom PCMCIA CreditCard.

It's probably because it's way late and i've stopped thinking
but after trawling through /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
i can't see how to do this manually.  I can't see a variable set
or looked for / to be added in the init script and would
prefer not to mungle.
