[Gllug] Where is the defualt domain name kept

Hi

What file contains the default domain name, e.g. the domain my linux box is 
in. For example my pc is called gromit it's internet address is 
gromit..bournemouth.ac.uk, at the moment my machine only thinks it is 
gromit.localdomain
