I've just found this service:

It claims to be the first bookmark portal on the Web -
I would gess that this site allows you to store bookmarks,
which will be displayed on a passworded web page.

I still think LDAP is the way to go though.
With Netscape, you can have roaming profiles held on an LDAP 
server, which will include your bookmarks.
