[Gllug] Konquerer

Hi all

I seem to be getting the following error when I start Konquerer under KDE2.2

11 (SIGSERV error)

I have had a look on the web and noticed that it has been found before but
on older versions of KDE and that it was in for very different reasons. I am
also unable to use the KDE help facility as it complains about an "io-slave"
error. I am just interested if anyone has encountered these before.

After installing Perl-5.6.1 StarOfice5.2 and kdedoc I have decided to
download the disks for RehHat as the system is now very flaky in its
operation. Windows will refuse to die the system will have fits of fantastic
performance followed by snails pace operation and after being able to
connect to BT surftime it now refuses it completely but my UKLinux account
is still fine. The joys of knowing what I am doing are boundless (sarcasm).
Oh and it now refuses to boot to windows so instead it gives me a screen
full of 01010101010 to infinity and beyond.

I suppose I should write a Diary about "Harry Vs Linux"
At the moment Linux is winning but Harry has got stamina and size in large
quantities. It was like when the Germans fought the Russians the Germans may
have been technically superior but as one Russian General said "Quantity has
a quality all of its own".

I have myself full confidence that if all do their duty,
if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made,
as they are being made,
we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Linux home,
to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny,
if necessary for years if necessary alone.
At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do.
That is the resolve of the free software foundation every man of them.
That is the will of User Groups and the public.
The FSF and the GNU,
linked together in their cause and in their need,
will defend to the death their common goal,
aiding each other like good comrades
to the utmost of their strength.
Even though large tracts of code and many old and famous programmes
have fallen or may fall into the grip of the tyrant
and all the odious apparatus of tyrant rule,
we shall not flag or fail.
We shall go on to the end.
We shall fight in the hardware, we shall fight on the desktops and servers,
We shall fight with growing applications and growing strength in the kernel,
We shall defend our ideals, whatever the cost may be,
We shall fight on the benches, we shall fight on the news,
We shall fight in the server rooms, and in the chat rooms,
We shall fight in the www;
We shall never surrender,

And even if, which I do not for a moment believe,
this Linux or a large part of it were subjugated and starving,
then our brothers beyond the seas,
armed and guarded by the FSF,
would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time,
the new world, with all its power and might,
steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Regards;
Harry Jackson.
