What about the emergency kernel floppy? And Tom's root/boot? It'd be a
pain to use a CD for these. For me, serial ports are less important -
the only thing I'm using one for is the modem which backs up the ISDN
(except that yesterday when BT fsck'd my ISDN line I found that the
configuration is totally out of date wrt Demon's numbers and I couldn't
get online to find the new analogue ones - I must fix this:) and acts as
a fax machine (I havn't sent a fax for years).
