As I understand it, the CDs are purposefully written with bad blocks,
causing read errors on computer players (and nothing on more tolerant
'normal' players); so, it'll affect everything.

This also affects copying the CD, naturally, unless you use a copier
that doesn't try to interpret the data before shifting it over.
