Will it take as long to introduce as the original ADSL testing and roll out ?

For those with the Ethernet option, I had to do some tests on the
SpeedStream 5861 router about a year or two ago and managed to follow
these instruction with a little modification:
http://www.atoker.com/bb/faq/
It also details the pin outs for the RJ45 serial console port on the back.
The manuals for the router are at:
http://www.efficient.com/products/routbus.html
The installation manuals seem to use a windows interface but the technical
reference details the various commands, but not all their uses. The router's
console has a "help" option that lists the full range of commands but not
what they do.
Prehaps it would be useful to set up a site that has documents on both type
of ADSL and also some notes on the various tests that you can do (eg using
bt_test at startup_domain as the username to check that you can link to a BT
box across ATM) ?
ps. Was anyone else in West London effected by an ADSL outage yesterday
(30/01/02) between 2pm and 6pm, supposedly cause by by problems in ATM ?
