[Gllug] 3D tools

has anyone run linux on a bigboy manufacturer ie dell,intergraph ( as was
),hp,compaq,sgi workstation.
with a 'highend' graphics card ie wildcat 5110 or firegl4 i've heard that the
nvidia opengl stuff could be
called interesting/challenging to run but wondered if the more you pay
etc.....
